The two-day symposium, convened by the National Native Title Council, First Nations Clean Energy Network, and the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation, brought together Traditional Owners, renewable energy stakeholders, policymakers, and Indigenous leaders. Through insightful case studies and shared experiences, attendees explored pathways to reliable, clean, and cost-effective power solutions. The launch of Industry Best Practice principles ensured informed decision-making and equitable negotiations.


This symposium was an opportunity to foster dialogue on concerns, ongoing projects, and collaborative strategies for maximizing renewable energy benefits.

The program featured presentations, workshops, and exclusive networking events, including the Symposium dinner and breakfast, facilitating meaningful connections and resource sharing among participants.

The Outcome

The gathering of First Nation communities and key organisations engaging in the renewable and energy sector was an important step to launch industry best practice principles and ensure remote communities have all the information they need to make informed decisions on renewable energy.
