HSBC at 2024 ACTA Conference

Summary:

HSBC approached us to collaborate on their latest activation at the annual ACTA Conference in Manly. It would be their first in over 5 years so they wanted to make sure they would have the most visible impact on the Expo floor.

Our task was to design an eye-catching, memorable and engaging 4m x 4m activation within brand guidelines and budget that would feature their VR experience.

Our Input

Designing an open stand 3m high and 360 degrees branding on the main structural wall and storage. We kept the style and furniture on brand while keeping the wastage to a minimum by using stretched recyclable fabric banners rather than printed panels. We managed the activation end to end so all the team had to do was arrive, plug in and play!

Challenges:

Keeping the stand looking slick and tidy throughout the event with so many visitors as well as merchandise and cabling. How did we do it? We created a bespoke low-cost storage unit with a cable tidy top so guests and the HSBC team could plug their devices in and remain tidy. There was also ample space to display their amazing gifts and 360-degree branding to discreetly hide the cables and stock stored inside the unit.

The Outcome:

The response was incredible! The stand was eye-catching as soon as delegates arrived to the event. It was immediately inviting and consistently buzzing with visitors that spent extensive time getting to know the HSBC team and discover the services they had to offer. Credit due to the HSBC team for the immersive VR experience – keeping delegates engaged. Plus, the standout take home gift of the conference, a range of HSBC branded spices. A huge win for our client and our team!
