ACTA Conference 2025: Sun, Surf, and Serious Connection
When you bring 300+ treasury professionals together in one of Australia’s most iconic coastal destinations, something pretty special happens. ACTA 2025 took over Manly, NSW this May — and the result? A high-energy, high-impact few days that delivered insight, inspiration, and a whole lot of connection.
- A Coastal Kick-Off
Manly turned it on for us — sunshine, surf, and salt air set the scene. Day one began with the President’s Walk, a 7am coastal stroll that saw delegates lacing up for an energising start to the program. It wasn’t your average conference opener — and we liked it that way.
- Cash Grabs and Beach Balls
Newcomers to the conference were welcomed with a playful twist: our Cash Grab Activation sparked instant smiles and broke the ice. In the main plenary, the energy kept flowing with the Beach Balls of Destiny — a fast-paced get-to-know-you game involving bouncing beach balls, booming music, and questions to answer when the beat dropped. It was unexpected, a little chaotic, and totally brilliant.
- 50+ Speakers, 20 Hours of Insight, Countless Conversations
With over 50 expert speakers and nearly 20 hours of dedicated content and connection space, the conference struck a powerful balance between learning and networking. This year’s big theme? Connection. From technical sessions to corridor catch-ups, we built in time for real conversations to take place — and they did.

Our sold-out Gala Awards Dinner was a true highlight, filled with celebration, sparkles, and the long-awaited announcement of Treasurer of the Year. It was a night to remember, with well-deserved recognition for excellence across the profession.
- Big Ideas, Bold Speakers
We were thrilled to welcome some incredible keynote speakers:
- Lucio Ruberio helped demystify AI in practical, tangible terms.
- Bastien Treptel, ex-hacker turned cybersecurity leader, shared jaw-dropping insights and real-life lessons.
- Holly Ransom inspired us bright and early at the Breakfast Keynote with actionable steps to thrive in our personal and professional lives.
- Exhibition Buzz
With 25 buzzing exhibitors, the expo floor was alive with activity — from live portrait sketching and toy grab machines to mini golf and interactive displays. It was a space where ideas flowed and business cards flew.
- Keeping the Vibe High
Our MC, the inimitable Warrick Merry, kept the crowd engaged, energised and moving across the program. From quick quips to smooth transitions, his presence helped tie the whole experience together.
A Conference that Mattered
