Women Deliver Cultural Night 2026
Incredible Indigenous and Pasifika Entertainment
A major focus of the evening was celebrating and elevating First Nations and Oceanic Pacific voices. The night opened with a powerful traditional smoking ceremony and didgeridoo performance, setting a beautiful foundation for the international delegation. The continuous three hour entertainment lineup featured four headline dance acts on the main stage, including the Yuloo Aboriginal Dance Group, the Maidens of Polynesia, and Te Mana Māori. This was paired with multiple high energy sets by First Nations artist DJ Soju Gang and soulful live acoustic performances from soloists Lele and Kaybee.
A Thriving Cultural Market
Ke. Creative executed extensive outreach to engage First Nations and Pasifika women led businesses across Victoria. This resulted in a group of 16 dedicated market stalls, giving international delegates a wonderful opportunity to interact directly with independent female business owners and discover unique, culturally rich products.
Immersive, Hands On Activations
Six interactive activations offered delegates fun, hands on ways to connect with local creativity and storytelling:
-
- Amplified Beauty: A custom beauty touch up station that gave guests a premium experience.
-
- Ngarga Warendj: A live leaf carving activation that captured the crowd with its beautiful cultural depth.
-
- Yeera Ngitj: A collaborative Aboriginal painting station led by artist Rhys, where delegates contributed to a shared community artwork.
-
- Kinnon Monogramming: Personalised monogramming stations adding a premium touch.
-
- 360 Degree Photo Booth: A high energy hub generating fun social content throughout the night.
-
- Reptile Encounters: An educational native wildlife experience drawing continuous crowds.
A Diverse Food Truck Lineup
To feed the international delegation, we coordinated a diverse lineup of 22 independent food trucks and specialty operators inside the Royal Exhibition Building. Spanning a broad mix of international cuisines, the food program perfectly reflected Melbourne’s famous multicultural food scene.
Staying Agile: Managing a Dynamic Project
An event of this scale naturally comes with many moving parts, and the Ke. Creative team remained highly adaptive throughout the planning cycle to update layouts, supplier specifications, and operational plans as the overall scope evolved. By maintaining strong relationships with our partners, and bringing on Harry the Hirer to consolidate supplier coordination, we ensured every necessary operational pivot was executed smoothly. For instance, due to a major spike in delegate registrations at the main Women Deliver conference, our team needed to quickly find additional space on site should all of those numbers actualise on the night. Ke. Creative immediately leapt into action, mobilising our supplier network to design and deploy an outdoor seating precinct in the plaza, ensuring we could comfortably accommodate a larger crowd without losing any of the event’s vibrant atmosphere.
